Yearbook Photos

•October 6, 2012 • 13 Comments

Hello Year 6!

I hope you have all had a wonderful break and are looking forward to your last term of primary school!!

We have a huge term filled with lots of exciting things … starting with camp in week 1!

Just a reminder about those photos I mentioned at the end of Term 3 – we are after photos for two things:

1. Yearbook – please send through scanned or digital photos to me that your family might have from all the back when you were all in Kinder to Year 5 e.g. camps, j-rock, fetes, first day of school, gala days, sports carnivals, concerts etc – kylie.seymour@dow.catholic.edu.au. I’m not really after individual photos but photos with 2-3 people in them or group shots. If you would prefer – you can bring them all on a DVD or USB to school.

2.Β For art in Term 4 – we are going to be creating a memory sort of crafty thing (Mrs Fazio is in charge of this so not sure what we are calling it) where each student needs to bring in photos that they can use to create this artwork. So for this you need to find photos of you and your friends from Kinder to Year 6 and bring them in to use. If mum doesn’t want you cutting up the actual photos you might like to photocopy them and bring in copiesΒ :). I remember Mrs Fazio saying that you might like to bring in your individual photos from Kinder to Year 6.

Let me know if you have any questions but I would like all of these in by the end of Week 2 please.

See you all soon.

From Miss Seymour

Well we’ve passed the half way mark!! The rest of the year is going to fly by and you will be in High School before you know it πŸ˜›

A couple of things to note:

* Sport days this term – Wednesdays and Thursdays.

* Please make sure you have all the necessary equipment for school each day e.g. blue pens, red pens, ruler, pencil, sharpener, eraser, glue stick especially!!

* Our tissue supply is running low – please ask Mum or Dad if you could please bring in another box to stock up our supplies.

* A few of you need to remember to purchase a new diary so you can stick in your medals at the end of each day. Don’t forget to get your diary signed each Friday!

* Check out the YouTube clip that has our Tango dance that we will be learning for the Concert – see if you can learn some of the steps before our next lesson on Wednesday.

* We welcome Miss Azzopardi who will be with us the entire term πŸ™‚

* Olympic Themed Mufti Day – NEXT FRIDAY 27th July – this is a fundraiser for us!

* Don’t forget to keep up your prayers for Mr Landale, Lincoln Hickey (Mrs Hickey’s baby son) and Niamh McGarrity (Mrs McGarrity’s 4 year old daughter)!

We are looking forward to a busy and successful term!

This week we have had Interviews, our last Peer Support Session, the Cake Stall and Reward Day.

A fantastic way to end a wonderful term πŸ™‚

So far we have raised about $681.95 for Graduation!! An amazing effort by all of Year 6. We still have a lot of fundraising to do next term though!! We want to try and reach $1800.

Please remember to thank your parents for helping you support our fundraising events so far.

Have a safe, restful and fun holiday πŸ™‚

Hi Year 6,

I am so happy to be on my way home πŸ™‚

I am currently sitting in Qantas Club in London Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 waiting for my 12 hour flight to Bangkok – it leaves at 10:05pm (it is 6am Monday morning for you at the moment).

I have had an amazing experience here but I am exhausted and can not wait to get home (a bit of long journey still to go though).

We had some nice weather this morning (finally) at the matches so I am a little burnt on the face 😦 but hopefully after my 30 hour or so journey home it will disappear.

If I’m bored, I will write again in Bangkok – if not, I may see you at some point at school on Tuesday … and if not on Tuesday – I will see most of you on Wednesday morning.

Hope you have all enjoyed your long weekend.
